2. Washing & Sanitising of Rugs, Carpets, Mattresses and Upholstered Furniture

Vacuuming alone is not enough to extract the dirt and grime embedded within carpet/upholstery fibres. Less visible to the eye, are the millions of dust mites (and their faeces) that live within these fibres, and feed on dead skin cells that shed from our bodies. When you feel like your home is making you feel unwell, this may be it. Dirty carpets and fabric sofas significantly reduce the quality of air within the home. 

 

At Blue Pear, we use industry-leading Texatherm Technology that combines hot-water-extraction and low-moisture processes that deep clean and sanitise the carpets. We apply a biocidal and virucidal alkaline detergent to kill all the germs and dust mites, followed by a (hot water) acidic rinse at 65 degrees celsius, to neutralise the detergent, therefore leaving no product within the pile. Cleaning products left within the carpets or fabric sofas causes damage over time. This process:

• removes stains and odours;

• lifts the pile and revives the fabric;

• leaves the carpets ready to use in 30 minutes. 

 

It is recommended that professional carpet cleaning should be done at least once per year. Households with people classed as 'clinically vulnerable' should have their carpets and rugs professionally cleaned 3 to 4 times per year.

3. Disinfectant Fogging

This service can only be carried out after a deep clean. 

​

A mist of food-safe & eco-friendly disinfectant is carefully sprayed into the space, gently coating every surface it lands on, and therefore giving that area up to 4 weeks of protection from bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
